ANGELS IN DISGUISE
by
Dennis Higgins

VERSE 1.
Last night another hero died
I didn't know her name
In their protective clothing
all nurses look the same
I wish that I could thank her
but now its far too late
she's nursed her final patient
and passed through heaven's gate.

VERSE 2.
Last night another hero died
I didn't know his name
but just like every doctor
he mustn't die in vain
there are so many heroes
who've answered to the call
so many occupations
it's hard to list them all

CHORUS
They say that they're not heroes
but we know otherwise
they're not only heroes
they're angels in disguise.
they say that they're not heroes
but we know otherwise
they're not only heroes
they're angels in disguise

VERSE 3
Last night another hero died
the list goes on and on
one day they are beside us
the next day they are gone
Let's not forget those heroes
remember them with pride
they were there to help us
they stood there by our side.

BRIDGE
Another hero will be there
whenever there's a need
they come from every walk of life
they're not a special breed

CHORUS
They say that they're not heroes
but we know otherwise
they're not only heroes
they're angels in disguise
They say that they're not heroes
but we know otherwise
they're not only heroes
they're angels in disguise
